I mainly read, I have 5 bookshelves now. Hemingway will always be my favorite author. Lately I've found myself getting into classic literature. The Divine Comedy, Paradise Lost, etc. For some odd reason I've also been writing in place of gaming lately, mainly poetry and short stories. Maybe it's just a phase, but it is a great outlet, and it has helped me make progress on my novel.

Fiction, but I've taken true experiences to form the outline of the story and the personality of the anti-hero. I'm the same way. I actually started getting depressed at one point when I stopped writing for a while. Yeah, if you can still be productive, spend all the time you want on the computer or playing games.
I think having creative outlets is super important ~ that's really cool that you're working on a novel! ^_^ What genre? Personally, if I consume too much media (gaming, movies, etc.) without working on something of my own creation often enough I'm not as satisfied in life. That said, I love consuming media / gaming and wholeheartedly disagree with the type of people who think you should only be on your computer or game a short number of hours in a day!
